In this special tomato, you'll discover the typical Mediterranean flavor and shape that immediately reminds you of Italy. A true Roma tomato; elongated, with plenty of flesh and just a little juice.
San Marzano is a firm tomato with a good shelf life and a fresh taste, especially suitable for sauces and soups.
Sow in a sheltered seed tray at 20°C. Transplant the young plants into pots and continue growing them at 15 to 20°C in a bright location. Plant out from mid-May (80 cm apart) in the open ground, in a hobby greenhouse, or in a large pot with fertile soil. Allow the plants, which require a warm and sunny location, to climb up a stake.
