Foxglove is a spectacular Favorite for the cottage and woodland garden. These stately, tall plants produce elegant spikes of tubular, bell-shaped flowers—often speckled inside—in vibrant shades of pink, purple, white, and cream. They are an absolute magnet for bees and hummingbirds. Foxgloves are perfect for adding vertical interest to mixed borders, woodland edges, or shady spots in the garden. Most varieties are biennials, meaning they establish a leafy rosette in the first year and produce magnificent flowers in the second year, after which they readily self-seed for a continuous display.
